Features

sumUp for Jira Cloud adds 4 new gadgets to be used within the Jira Dashboards with the following features:

  • Compute the sum of issue field values - any field with numeric values that can be summed.

  • Select issues by using a saved filter or a custom JQL.

  • Customize with ease: quickly add, remove or reorder the fields to be displayed.

sumUp Gadgets

By now there are 4 gadgets available through sumUp for Jira:

sumUp filter gadget

This Gagdet can be used to compute sums of multiple fields. Issues can be grouped by (almost) any field.

 E.g. group result by Issue Type, Assignee or a custom single select field, etc.



Configuration

FilterTo configure the Gadget a predefined filter or a custom JQL have to be entered.
Number of resultsNumber of how many results gets displayed at once. The remaining results can be viewed by pagination.
Field to sumUpField where the sum has to be calculated of.
Group Field YSums can be grouped by e.g. issuetype or priority.
Auto refreshWhen the checkbox is ticked, the gadget will automatically refresh every 15 minutes, if the page doesn't get reloaded.


Two dimensional filter gadget by sumUp

The two dimensional statistic Gadget for sumUp works exactly like the two dimensional statistic gadget for Jira.

In addition, it can also accumulate one numeric field.



Configuration

Number of resultsNumber of how many results gets displayed at once. The remaining results can be viewed by pagination.

Group Field XSums can be grouped by X and Y axis.

Worklogs sumUp

 Rendering this gadget can be resource intensive if there is a large number of worklogs.

The Worklogs Gadget is similar to the Two dimensional Filter Gadget, with the difference that it sums up worklogs, and not issue properties.

The worklogs are always grouped on Y Axis by Worklog Author. The X Axis is configurable.

The sums will be displayed on both axes, and an example is the following picture:

Time Period

A time period can be selected in which the worklogs get summed up:

  • Last month
  • Current month
  • Last week
  • Last 2 weeks
  • Current week
  • Custom
Group Field XWorklogs can be grouped by different fields.
Computation Strategy
  1. Lots of work-logs/issue
    • If there are issues that contain a lot of work-logs, this strategy should deliver the results faster
  2. Lots of issues
    • If there are a lot of issues with a relatively small number of work-logs, use this strategy - it will be faster

Filter results with sumrow

This gadget is similar to Jira Filter Results gadget, but with additional functionality to sum field values for issues.

Fields to displayFields that will be displayed in the gadget. They can be sorted via drag and drop.
Auto refreshWhen the checkbox is ticked, the gadget will automatically refresh every 15 minutes, if the page doesn't get reloaded.


Adding Gadgets to the Dashboard

Like every other gadget, sumUp gadgets can be added to the Dashboard by clicking the Add gadget button in the upper right corner.
