Avoid the manual work by closing the parent after checking if all sub-ta= sks are done, let automation do it for you!
Create a new rule and name it appropriately.
Providing a description will help you to identify what the rule does but= this step is optional.
Add a Trigger =E2=86=92 Issue transitioned eve= nt
Add the following expression:
issuetyp= e in subtaskIssueTypes()
Next to the JQL condition click on Ad= d =E2=86=92 Boolean condition
Add the following expression:
%{trigge= r.issue.status} =3D "Done" and count(siblingSubtasks()) =3D count(filterByS= tatus(siblingSubtasks(), "Done"))
This way the rule execution will only continue, if the current issue was= transitioned to Done and if all other sub-tasks unde= r the current parent issue are also in status Done.= p>
Next to the Boolean <= strong style=3D"letter-spacing: 0.0px;">condition click on Add =E2=86=92 Issue selector
Choose Parent issue as the target issue.
Finally, next to the Issue selector= click on Add =E2=86=92 Action =E2=86=92 Transition i= ssue
Set the mode to Transition to status and choose the sta= tus Done.
Enable the rule by clicking on the Enable butto= n =E2=86=92
