To add a sumUp for monday.com widget to your workspace, you need to create a board or select an existing one. However, it is not required to navigate to an existing board. You can also create a dashboard outside a board and connect it to an existing one.

A board in monday.com consists of columns and rows, similar to a traditional spreadsheet, but with enhanced functionality and customization options.

Each board column represents a specific attribute or category of information related to the project or task like task name, due date, assigned team member, status, priority, or any other relevant data. Board columns can be of a specific data type like Status, Text, Date, Numbers, People and several more. You can select the data type when adding a new column.

Board rows, also known as items or cards, represent individual tasks, project items, or any other units of work within the context of the board. Each row contains information related to the specific item, which can be filled out in the corresponding columns.

The sumUp widgets work with columns of the data type Numbers and Votes. Make sure your board has columns of this type in addition to categorical columns like Status or People to group them by.

You can select an existing board in the sidebar on the left of your monday.com workspace. If you want to create a new one, click on the Plus icon and select New Board.
