Additional product info

You can find Batch Hero among the other boards of your workspace by scrolling or searching in the sidebar on the left of your monday.com space.

Batch Hero summarizes data such as board type and board name of all of your boards across all of your workspaces in one table which at the same time serves as the starting point to carry out any batch operation. The table has a pagination at the bottom should you have a larger number of boards.

Before beginning with conducting any batch operations you should learn how to navigate this table. You can not only use it to search for boards, filter your overview or drill down into the data, but also to select a specific number of boards and open the operations bar.

Batch Hero is not a widget in monday.com and can't get added to boards or dashboards like other apps. Batch Hero exists equally besides the other boards of your workspace and has access to all boards and workspaces in your monday.com instance.

Open Tutorial

By clicking on the info icon on the right of the workspace selector bar, you can access a small tutorial for Batch Hero.

A new window will get opened, providing an overview of the Batch Hero interface and a short introduction to the three batch operations you can carry out with the operations bar. Here you can also find a link to the support which might answer any further questions you have about navigating and configuring Batch Hero.

Navigate Table

The most important part of the Batch Hero space is the board overview table which lists all available boards from all workspaces in your monday.com instance.

The table displays each board as a row containing information about the board in several columns:

  • Board Type (T): Shows the type of the board as a small icon. Boards can be public, shareable or private. You can view the name of the type when hovering over the icon.
  • Board Name: Shows the name of the board which gets specified when creating the board.
  • Location: Shows the location of the board in your monday.com instance as a path of the overarching workspace and any folders the board is in. Clicking on the path takes you to the board.
  • Columns: Shows the number and column type of all columns of the board as small icons.
  • Created: Shows at which date and by whom the board got created.
  • Owners: Shows the owners of the board as a name and a small avatar.

If you hover over the Columns column of any row an info icon will appear. Clicking on this icon opens a detailed overview of the board columns with each column type getting listed separately alongside how many columns of this type the board contains and their respective names. You can also use a search bar to search for the names of any specific columns.

By scrolling down to the bottom of the table you can see and access the pagination.

If you have many boards in your monday.com instance the table will get split up across multiple pages for better organization. Use the pagination to browse through the different pages of the table and view the rows for all of your boards. In this case it is also advised to use the search bar or the workspace selector bar to filter the boards displayed in the table.

Select Boards

You can select boards by using the column with the checkboxes at the left side of the table.

Selecting boards opens the operations bar which gets displayed at the bottom. In the operations bar you can see how many boards you have selected. You can also choose a batch operation which you want to carry out on them.

You can't access the operations bar unless you selected at least one board. If you want to conduct a batch operation you first need to select boards in the checkbox column.

To select all boards in the entire table at once click on the checkbox in the header row. This way you can also view how many boards your Batch Hero space contains in general.

You can only select and carry out batch operations on boards for which you have view and edit permission. If you don't have the required permissions for a board its checkbox gets shown greyed out in the table and it can't get selected.

If you want to view or change a board's permissions, head over to the board, click on the three dots in the top right corner and select Board permissions. You might have to contact the owner of the board to change its permissions.

To select a specific number of boards in the table tick of their checkboxes in the checkbox column. You can see how many boards you have selected right now in the operations bar.

Sort Boards

The board rows in the table can get sorted in ascending or descending order by using any of the columns. Only the Columns column can't get used to sort the rows.

You can access the sorting functionality by hovering over the header row until the sorting icon appears besides the column name. Clicking on the icon once sorts the boards after the column values in descending order, clicking on it twice reverses the sorting. Clicking on it for a third time resets the sorting again.

Refresh Your Board

Click the refresh button to instantly view the latest updates on various boards.

Easily Select Multiple Boards

To select multiple boards in a row, click on the first board, hold the shift key, and click on the last board. This will select all boards in between as well.
