Create comprehensive overviews of your key metrics with the Two dimensional widget

Interested in categorizing and summarizing your metrics using two distinct dimensions?

The Two dimensional widget empowers you to construct comprehensive metric summaries by grouping them based on two different categorical columns.

Calculation rows are displayed both at the bottom and on the side, forming a matrix of sums for each row and column in the table.

Configuration

You can access the configuration settings of the Two dimensional widget by clicking on the the blue arrow at the right side of the widget.

The Two dimensional widget saves your configured settings permanently. Your configuration persists even if you change items or groupings on the board. You can change the settings of your widget at any time.

This widget type can't get viewed or configured by users of the type viewer. You can read more about user types in the official documentation by monday.com.

Add or change the widget title of the Two dimensional widget by clicking on the title at the top.

titleColumn To Be CalculatedConfigure which column to display

Select for which column you want to calculate the sums in the Two dimensional widget under Column to be calculated. Which column do you want to display. The widget shows the summed values across the x- and y-axis within the matrix as well as the total sums in an extra calculation row at the end of each row and each column.

You can only calculate the sums of columns with the data type Numbers or Votes from the board which is associated with your widget. To add new columns to a board or change the data type of existing columns, head over to the board and create new columns as required.

titleGroup Grouping the results on the x-axis

Select the categorical column you want to sum the values by across the x-axis under Group How to group items on x-axis. The x-axis categories get shown in the horizontal bar over the table.

titleNumber Configure the number of Results rows per Pagepage

Select the number of result rows per page under Number of results How many rows do you want to display per page. If you select a smaller number, the table is split up across multiple pages.

You can see which page you're currently on in the pagination under the table. By clicking on the page numbers you can switch between the pages.

titleRefresh IntervalSet the refresh interval

Select the interval for the data in the Two dimensional widget to be automatically refreshed under Refresh interval How many minutes between widget updates. If you make any changes on the associated board, the data in the widget changes after the specified amount of time as well.
