Restrict the viewing or editing rights of single or multiple pages by using the action Manage restrictions.

Right-click on the desired page or hover over the page and click on the ellipsis menu "..."

Select the Manage restrictions action.

Select users or groups in the view dropdown to which you want to restrict the view rights of the page(s).

Select users or groups in the edit dropdown to which you want to restrict the edit rights of the page(s).

Click on Save.

  • By not selecting any users or groups from the dropdown, the page(s) become public again.
  • Each restricted page is highlighted with a tooltip that displays, upon hovering, the users or groups to whom the page is restricted.
  • If multiple pages with different access rights are selected, the drop-down lists (View/Edit) will show the combined restrictions of all selected pages.
  • When applying restrictions, the current user is always included and added to the list due to Confluence's own behaviour.
