You can access the configuration settings of the Two dimensional widget by clicking on the blue arrow at the right side of the widget.
The Two dimensional widget saves your configured settings permanently. Your configuration persists even if you change items or groupings on the board. You can change the settings of your widget at any time.
This widget type can't get viewed or configured by users of the type viewer. You can read more about user types in the official documentation by monday.com.
After successfully configuring the widget, an info text gets shown below the table, detailing which numerical column gets summed up by which categorical columns on the x- and y-axis.
Add or change the widget title of the Two dimensional widget by clicking on the title at the top.
Select for which column you want to calculate the sums in the Two dimensional widget under Column to be calculated. The widget shows the summed values across the x- and y-axis within the matrix as well as the total sums in an extra calculation row at the end of each row and each column.
You can only calculate the sums of columns with the data type Numbers or Votes from the board which is associated with your widget. To add new columns to a board or change the data type of existing columns, head over to the board and create new columns as required.
Select the categorical column you want to sum the values by across the x-axis under Group x-axis. The x-axis categories get shown in the horizontal bar over the table.
You can only group by values from categorical columns like Status, Date or Person. To add new columns to a board or change the data type of existing columns, head over to the board and create new columns as required.
Select the categorical column you want to sum the values by across the y-axis under Group y-axis. The y-axis categories get shown in the vertical sidebar at the left side of the table.

Select the number of result rows per page under Number of results per page. If you select a smaller number, the table is split up across multiple pages.
You can see which page you're currently on in the pagination under the table. By clicking on the page numbers you can switch between the pages.
Select the interval for the data in the Two dimensional widget to be automatically refreshed under Refresh interval. If you make any changes on the associated board, the data in the widget changes after the specified amount of time as well.
