Log files are an administrator's best friend. A function in Confluence doesn't work as expected? An app is showing errors? The entire application is slow or not responding at all? To investigate the problem, log files are the place to start troubleshooting.

The problem - you need application server access in order to inspect log files. Apart from being time-consuming to manually locate and inspect log files, for security reasons many Confluence administrators don't even have access to the home directory of the application server, where the logs are stored.

Last Log for Confluence displays log files where they belong - the Confluence administration user interface.

The app can easily be downloaded through the Atlassian Marketplace.

After a successful installation, the app is ready to use and doesn't need further adjustments.

The sheer number of log file entries can be overwhelming and it's easy to miss the exact information or error you are looking for. Not anymore!

  • Filter for specific entries - simply specify the text you are looking for and Last Log for Confluence filters the output accordingly.
  • Exclude entries - specify entries that are not helping to get the job done by simply excluding them from the output.
  • Search by regular expression - you know exactly what you are looking for? Use the regular expression filter and get results in no time.
