This function returns the date part of a timestamp of any given date in text form.
dateToString(timestamp, timeZone, language) #Output: Text

dateToString({issue.created}, LOCAL, USER_LANG) | This example could return: 18/May/20 |
dateToString({issue.created}, LOCAL, SERVER_LANG) | This example could return: 18/Mai/20 |
Parameters used in this function
Parameter | Input (data type) | Description |
---|---|---|
timestamp | NUMBER | The parameter must be valid timestamp. Usually this value is retrieved from a field (e.g. due date, created date). |
timeZone | TIMEZONE | The time zone used for the calculation. |
language | LANGUANGE | The language used for the conversion. |
Days might depend on the time zone - it might be Sunday on the west coast of the US while at the same time it's already Monday in Australia.
