The Add comment post function automatically creates a comment in the current issue. The comment text can be composed of free text in combination with various fields using their field codes.

The comment author can be selected among various user fields and the visibility can be restricted by project role or by user group.

Configuration

Comment's text

Define the content of the comment by choosing one of the following options:

  • Add comment manually (parser expression)

    An Expression* field will appear, and there you would have to enter a text, and you can also use field codes.

  • copy field value from current issue

    Choose the field you want to copy the text from.

Comment visibility

Choose the users you want to give permission to see the comment, you have the following options:

  • Unrestricted (all users)
  • Restricted to project role
  • Restricted to group
Additional options

You have the option to send email notifications according to the associated notification scheme.

Run as

Choose which user* will be able to execute this post function. By default, it is set to the Current user.
