Copy the due date from the current issue to blocking issues

Use case

Issue links in Jira are a helpful tool to keep track of changes throughout different issues.

In the following use case the due date of the current issue will be copied to all blocking issues.

Add the Update linked issue or sub-task post function to the desired transition or create a new transition.

Click on Add field

Choose Due date

Choose Copy field value form current issue

Click on Add

Update the following filters according to your needs.

Choose is blocked by

Use case	Workflow function	Complexity
Copy the due date from the current issue to blocking issues	Update linked issue or sub-task	BEGINNER
Set the fix version from the current sub-task for all sibling sub-tasks	Update linked issue or sub-task	BEGINNER
Update the sub-task's assignees by the current issue's value	Update linked issue or sub-task	BEGINNER
