Like the validator Compare two values validator for JWT DC, the validator Compare two values validator for JWT Cloud provides the ability to ensure that a field holds a ceratin value in order to perform a transition.

As described in A general note about JWT for Jira Cloud, it is not possible to use the JWT field codes in conditions or validators. That is the reason why JWT Cloud cannot provide a one-to-one mapping of the fields which can be selected in this validator.

JWT DC parameter

Notes
Left-hand side value

In JWT DC this value is set by a parser expression, in JWT Cloud it is selected from a drop-down list.

Right-hand side value

Either a field can be selectced or a value can be set manaully. In JWT Cloud you first have to select one of these options and then select the field or enter the value by using the parser expression editor.

>=>=

Depending on the field which is selected as left-hand value, not all operators are valid for this field. Only the valid ones are offered.

JWT Cloud offers the two additional operators ~ (contains) and !~ (does not contain) which may be used instead of the one selected in the JWT DC configuration.

The parameter "Validation options" is not available in JWT Cloud.

Due to the different architecture, it may happen that the condition gets too complex. The condition cannot be saved and a corresponding error message will be displayed. Split the condition into two or more.

Parameter "Error message"

It is not possible to use the JWT Cloud expression parser in Jira Cloud validators, so the error message must consist of a fixed text, field codes are not working here.

No location or translation option is available in JWT Cloud.
